Seder
means Order
It’s time to offer up some Passover material. The images are all from the Sarajevo Haggadah, another obsession. I tell what is known of it in the first person, in the voice of the Haggadah, I’ll offer that up during the holiday. For now, the Seder opens with the Order of the ritual, I sing it in an enchanted melody gathered from Old Salonika. I am influenced in this piece from studying Rav Kook’s always expansive treatments of our traditions. It turned into a kind of [Petrarchan] sonnet.
